CNN daytime anchor Ana Cabrera will flee the cost-cutting network for a role at rival MSNBC, two people familiar with the situation told The Post. The anchor, who currently hosts CNN’s 1 p.m. hour, confirmed Thursday that she is leaving the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned network, which laid off hundreds of workers this month. Cabrera tweeted that her last day at CNN would be next week after working there for nearly a decade. “Goodbyes are hard,” she wrote. “Thank you CNN for everything. (My final show will be a week from today, Dec. 22.) I’m looking forward starting a new chapter in my career, and excited for new opportunities, challenges and growth to come!” Read more at 🤍 #anacabrera #cnn #msnbc #media The New York Post is your source for breaking news, news about New York, sports, business, entertainment, opinion, real estate, culture, fashion, and more. Was on CNN with Ana Cabrera, 7 Feb 2022 to discuss the death of SEAL Training candidate, Seaman Kyle Mullen. Once again, First and foremost, my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Seaman Mullen’s family. Also my thoughts go out to his SEAL training classmates and the instructors and medical staff. In this interview I talk about what Hell Week is like, one of my hardest times during Hell Week, and why training needs to maintain the intensity it has, in order to forge candidates into combat ready SEALs. I also want to reiterate the balance between the intensity of training and the safety parameters put in place. As a SEAL, I know that Naval Special Warfare and all the Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training instructors and medical staff do an amazing job balancing safety against the intensity necessary to prepare candidates, mentally, physically and emotionally for combat operations in the SEAL teams. During Hell Week alone, students receive daily multiple full body medical checks and vitals assessments, to ensure there are no students showing signs of medical duress. Unfortunately whatever happened with Seaman Mullen and the other student manifested after they had completed Hell Week. As I do in this interview, don’t speculate. Allow the family to grieve and the medical professionals to do their due diligence and wait until the facts are presented.

Mike Johnson on Flickr: 🤍 About U.S. Representative Mike Johnson U.S. Representative Mike Johnson represents Louisiana’s Fourth District, where he, his wife and their four children live in Bossier Parish. He is a dedicated husband and father, as well as a former, constitutional law attorney who has devoted his life and career to fighting for the fundamental freedoms and traditional values that have always been a priority to the people of Louisiana. For nearly 20 years, he successfully litigated high profile constitutional law cases in district and appellate courts nationwide. He is widely recognized as a leading defender of the right to life, religious liberty, free speech, the Second Amendment and free market principles. As the eldest son of a Shreveport firefighter who was critically burned and disabled in the line of duty, Congressman Johnson learned early on the values of hard work, honor and sacrifice. He has a practical understanding of the challenges that small business owners face because he, like his parents and grandparents, was one himself. Congressman Johnson currently serves as the chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), the largest caucus of conservatives in Congress. Since its founding in 1973, the RSC has served as the voice and "intellectual arsenal" of conservatism in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a leading influence in shaping the legislative agenda. Congressman Johnson is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and was named ranking member of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. He also serves on the House Natural Resources Committee overseeing American energy production, mineral issues, fisheries and several other key contributors to Louisiana’s economy. Louisiana’s Fourth District largely includes the Northwest portion of Louisiana, including Shreveport, Bossier City, Natchitoches, Minden, DeRidder, Opelousas, Leesville, Eunice, Ville Platte, Mansfield and Benton.
